Neutral Spirit , also known as rectified spirit, extra-neutral alcohol (ENA), or neutral grain spirit, is a highly purified alcohol distilled to 95–96% Alcohol % (ABV) and later diluted to bottling strength. By design, it has little to no distinct aroma, flavor, or color, making it a blank canvas for producing a wide variety of alcoholic beverages.
Classified under Strength : Very High, neutral spirit is the foundation of vodka, gin, liqueurs, aperitifs, bitters, and many RTDs (ready-to-drink products). In India, neutral spirit forms the backbone of the IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) industry, supplying whisky, rum, vodka, and gin blends for mass markets.
