Fruit Wine is made by fermenting fruits other than grapes, such as apples, pears, plums, berries, or tropical fruits. With Alcohol % (ABV) typically ranging from 6–14%, Fruit Wines are placed under Strength : Low to Medium. They are often sweeter, lighter, and more aromatic than grape wines, making them approachable for new drinkers. In India, fruit wines made from mango, strawberry, jamun, and chikoo (sapota) are produced by boutique wineries in Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka.
